How Do You Set Up a V Rising Server?

Get your server online in 4 steps after renting your V Rising server.

  1. Choose your planPick a plan from the table based on your player count and plugin/mod load. After payment, your server is delivered automatically.
  2. Install Windows ServerV Rising server files are officially released for Windows; install Windows Server from the client panel.
  3. Install with SteamCMDInstall SteamCMD and download the V Rising Dedicated Server files (app ID 1829350).
  4. Configure and startSet the server name, password and player limit in ServerHostSettings.json, open UDP ports 9876–9877 and start the server.

How quickly is my V Rising server delivered?

What hardware is used in the packages?

All packages AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processors. Depending on the package there are 4–12 CPU, 6–48 GB DDR5 RAM and 50–210 GB disk options; 99% DDoS protection, a control panel and a 10 Gbit network are standard in every package. Prices range from €6.28 (#TR1) to €52.02 (#TR10).

Is DDoS protection included?

Yes. Advanced DDoS protection comes as standard on all of our V Rising servers. RouteFence® infrastructure provides global protection through 8 POP locations and 6+ Tbps of filtering capacity, with always-on protection at Layer 4–7.

Which operating systems can I install?

You can install Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, AlmaLinux, Fedora and Windows Server. You can manage your .iso files through the ILO/KVM interface in the customer panel.

Are backups and data security provided?

A backup service is not something we offer directly. However, as part of data security our systems are backed up regularly and the necessary precautions are taken against possible data loss.

Does the V Rising server run on Linux?

V Rising server files are officially released for Windows, so we recommend installing Windows Server from the client panel; on Linux it only runs through compatibility layers such as Wine.

Where do I change the game rules?

The server name, ports and player limit live in ServerHostSettings.json; game rules such as PvP/PvE mode, loot rates and castle raid hours live in ServerGameSettings.json.

Which ports does V Rising need?

By default, 9876 UDP carries game traffic and 9877 UDP answers server list queries. If you change the ports, update ServerHostSettings.json as well.
